Having fully renovated the property 10 years prior, the owners of this enlarged cottage wanted to make the layout work better having never reconciled the L-shaped space with all their furniture. The addition an electric baby grand meant the room was becoming desolate.
LPID completely flipped the space moving the piano into the entrance area, finding a more compact TV unit and using the old and new seating in a U-shape arrangement. A palette of soft greys is sharpened with linear black details and warmed through with rich mustards and golds. Reusing existing furniture and rugs made it possible to allow for the budget to be spent wisely on new carpets, curtains and a chaise sofa as well as a fresh coat of paint.
